How we verify every listing

Fake job posts cost people money and hope. Here is exactly what happens before a listing appears on Opportunities Hub — and what we will never ask you for.

Five checks, every time

  1. 1Official sources onlyWe list only from official notifications: government and university websites, gazette notices, and employers’ own career pages. No forwarded WhatsApp images.
  2. 2Line-by-line checkAn editor matches the last date, eligibility, fees and number of posts against the notification before publishing.
  3. 3Official link checkThe Apply button must go to the organisation’s own website. We show that address before you click.
  4. 4Daily re-checkEvery morning we re-check open listings. Closed ones are marked Closed; any change is logged with the date.
  5. 5Reports in 24 hoursTap “Report an issue” on any listing. We re-check it within 24 hours and correct or remove it.

What we will never do

  • Charge you to apply or to see a listing.
  • Ask for your documents, Aadhaar, bank details or OTP.
  • Promise selection or a “guaranteed job”.
  • Sell your email address or phone number.

How to spot a fake job

  • !It asks for a “registration”, “training” or “security” fee.
  • !The link is not on .gov.in, .nic.in or the employer’s own website.
  • !You get an offer letter without any interview or exam.
  • !You are pushed to pay or decide “today only”.
  • !Contact is only through a personal WhatsApp number or Gmail address.

Seen one of these? Report it to us and to the National Cyber Crime portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or helpline 1930.
